Dans l'immobile nuit,

En vous, étincelles,
À la cime des bois,

  Ô mer profonde,
C'est en toi que mon sang
Renaît vague blonde,
  En flot dansant.

Et c'est en toi, force suprême,

Que mon âme elle-même
  Atteint son dieu !

is het in u dat ik zing
en dat ik besta 

In u, vonken
aan de rand van het woud,
is het dat ik eeuwig ben
en dat ik kan zien. 

O zee, zo diep,
het is in u dat mijn bloed
als een schuimende golf
in een dansend getij herboren wordt. 

En het is in u, ultieme kracht,
schitterende zon,
