  Dixit Dominus Domino meo:
  Sede a dextris meis,
  donec ponam inimicos tuos scabellum pedum tuorum.
2 Virgam virtutis tuæ emittet Dominus ex Sion:
  dominare in medio inimicorum tuorum.
3 Tecum principium in die virtutis tuæ
  in splendoribus sanctorum:
  ex utero, ante luciferum, genui te.
4 Juravit Dominus, et non pœnitebit eum:
  Tu es sacerdos in æternum secundum ordinem Melchisedech.
5 Dominus a dextris tuis;
  confregit in die iræ suæ reges.
6 Judicabit in nationibus, implebit ruinas;
  conquassabit capita in terra multorum.

  The Lord said to my master:
  Sit here at my right hand,
  Until I make for you a footstool of your enemies.
2 The Lord will extend the power of your staff from out of Zion:
  Rule then in the midst of your enemies.
3 Your power has begun this day within you
  In the splendor of the saints. I have borne you, 
  Before the stars, from out of the womb.
4 The Lord has so sworn, and will not recant:
  You will be a priest for all time, conforming to the order of Melchisedech.
5 The Lord is at your right hand;
  Shattering kings in the day of his fury.
6 He will judge nations, filling them with ruin;
  Assailing the heads of many in the land.
7 He will drink of the torrent in his way;
  Therefore, he will lift up his head.
